Sales Manager MICE (m/f/d)

Drive and increase commission revenue for Design Hotels™ in the respective region and segment. This role executes sales & marketing activities as set forth in the quarterly sales & marketing plan. Furthermore, the Sales Manager MICE increases brand awareness in the region, as well as leading the strategic MICE segment for the EMEA region.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage and execute MICE sales & marketing strategy, activities, initiatives and events
  • Attend relevant travel trade shows to increase MICE business and visibility
  • Implement procedures, measurement tools, and processes to maximize results of MICE sales & marketing activities
  • Establish, develop and maintain strong relationships and MICE support to our member hotels
  • Monitor competitors and market trends within the MICE segment
  • Evaluate MICE sales & marketing opportunities with clients for EMEA
  • Continuously optimize processes and structures for the segment, drive innovation
  • Negotiate commercial agreements with preferred partners
  • Manage costs in line with budget and revenue flows if necessary
  • Assist in establishing a regional revenue and cost budget for the segment
  • Assist in developing and regularly updating regional event calendar
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships within the restrictive region and
  • Manage and expand MICE booker database as per Design Hotels™’ standards
  • Act as an ambassador of the Design Hotels™ brand towards partners, clients and member hotels

Experience & Mindset

  • At least 2-3 years working experience in the hospitality and tourism industry
  • Profound knowledge in the MICE segment and good market knowledge
  • Existing network of clients

  • Authentic and charismatic personality
  • Passion for travel, design, and trends
  • Excellent English and German written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in working on macOS, knowledge of Keynote and Microsoft Excel
