Our client, a renowned leader in the global energy-efficient heating solutions industry, is seeking a highly motivated German-Speaking Accounts Assistant to join their team. Role Overview:

As the German-Speaking Accounts Assistant, you will report directly to the Group Financial Controller and play a vital role in supporting the strategic objectives of the Finance Department. Your responsibilities will primarily involve ensuring accurate transactional accounting and effective Working Capital Management for the EMEA regions, with a particular focus on the German subsidiary. This is an end-to-end accounting role that requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt quickly.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately post supplier bills onto Netsuite, ensuring the completion of all necessary fields such as G/L codes, VAT codes, and approvers.
• Conduct weekly payment runs.
• Perform daily checks on purchase orders.
• Reconcile daily bank accounts.
• Post customer payments accurately to the appropriate customer and bank accounts and allocate them to corresponding sales transactions on a daily basis.
• Monitor individual customer accounts to ensure debts remain within assigned credit limits.
• Prepare month-end reports, including balance sheet schedules and reconciliations, as well as bi-monthly reporting packs for EMEA regions.
• Transfer data from Netsuite to local German books using DATEV.
• Calculate monthly commissions for external sales agents.

 

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar finance team role.
• Fluent in German.
• Proficient in Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Ideally holds a degree in a relevant discipline such as business, finance, economics, or mathematics.
• Experience with Netsuite is preferred but not essential.
