Domain Consultant (Insurance) Frankfurt, Munich

My client is a prominent and highly-regarded IT solutions provider, operating on a global scale.
A steady uplift in client-side demand means they now urgently seek a driven and motivated Domain Consultant, to deal specifically with their insurance clients.

The successful candidate will carry out the following day-to-day duties:

• Performing an advisory role in various insurance projects in identified areas of expertise or as an advisor / lead consultant for large program(s)
• Developing front-end expertise of solutions and products in the insurance marke vertical, and support in enhancing and localising the deployment of these solutions
• Supporting market development through thought leadership, supporting key account development, acting as a key part of sales pursuits by being the solution lead.
• Development of senior-client stakeholder relationships and acting as the trusted advisor at all levels of the company’s client organisations.
• Contribution to the creation of repeatable and profitable service approaches, to the development of insurance sector solutions and the development of appropriate tools and people skills.

Job Specifications

• Strong Consulting Skills: The Domain Consultant will have a track record of success in consulting and project delivery in the Insurance industry.

Experience in business - and/or IT consulting and / or a comparable background in the insurance industry as underwriter, claims manager, actuary or a comparable business function, with proven experience in leading and delivering complex (in-house) projects and transformational initiatives is desired for this role.

• Analytical and Strategic Capabilities: The ideal candidate is in the position to recognise and anticipate strategic trends in the Insurance industry.
• Strong Communication and Relationship Skills: The candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills in German, plus English (additional language skills a plus).
• The successful candidate will be experienced in both formal and informal settings with senior executives, peers, customers and business partners and must understand how to develop and maintain strong and communicative relationships.
• Teamwork and Collaboration Skills: My client is a global and diverse organization – as such it is indispensable that the candidate is comfortable and willing to work in large multi-national teams from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds. The candidate must be open-minded, flexible and willing to listen to the ideas of others.
• Relevant Network: The candidate ideally has relationships to decision makers in the Insurance industry in their respective markets. They should be in a position to build and maintain networks within the industry.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in economics, insurance mathematics (DAV), or relevant practical job experience in core insurance operations

• Around 8-10 years

• 60-100K euros (all in)

Languages

• Applicants must speak German to C1 (fluent business level) 

Travel

• There will be a significant travel requirement in the role so applicants must be comfortable with this.
