A globally leading and family-owned pharmaceutical company is looking for a talented computer scientist for the role of outreach manager. Located in the South of Germany, the successful candidate will support the company in employing digital innovation to actively boost the discovery and development of new medicines to assure sustainable growth.

Embedded in the growing Global Computational Biology and Digital Sciences Unit they will have an impact on reinventing R&D, thereby actively contributing to the discovery of breakthrough therapies that ultimately will improve the quality of human life.

As Outreach Manager they are accountable for finding the right partners for collaborations, that will lead towards data-driven drug development and as part of a growing team they will build and grow a network of external partners to support the implementation of high-impact digital initiatives.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Working closely with the management team to identify areas for strategic external partnerships.
• Managing the establishment of external partnerships and collaborations as key contact for internal functions.
• Establishing a network with BI internal stakeholders to scout for external innovation.
• Planning and conducting tailored outreach activities such as Digital Science Days, hackathons etc.

Requirements

• PhD in life sciences or computer sciences, alternatively master´s degree in this field with several years of professional experience in an international environment.
• Long-term experience in Pharma R&D or Biotech.
• Multiple years of experience in managing external partnerships and collaborations.
• The ability to connect function-specific needs with opportunities through novel digital technologies.
• Excellent communications skills in English as well as a strong intercultural mindset.
