YOUR TEAM

For the department Predictive Safety we are looking for a working student or thesis writer for the project Warn/Brake/Evade. You are going to dive into the following topics: Evasive Steering Support and Autonomous Emergency Steering.

The department works on ADAS functions for predictive road safety. Using e.g. visual and radar sensors for environment recognition, our functions warn the driver in traffic situations with collision danger and support the driver performing braking and steering maneuvers. In a small team working on emergency steering functions, we are dealing with simulation, vehicle testing as well as conceptual work for the design of tomorrow's emergency steering functions.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Join the highly motivated team working on future emergency steering functions
  • Design, run and evaluate scenario-based simulations for evasive maneuvers
  • Conceptual and practical work for testing of steering functions using driving robots
  • Assess future potentials of emergency steering functions applied to Steer-by-Wire systems
  • Help us to improve our systems and our daily development tasks
  • Together with you, we are going to choose the topics for your work according to your skills and interests in respect to our project goals

WHO YOU ARE

  • Very good academic performance
  • Enrolled student in the area of engineering, natural sciences, computer science or equivalent
