Your role

  • Facilitating discussions and forums for knowledge exchange among community members, including both experts and novices.
  • Conducting workshops, seminars, and training sessions to transfer knowledge and skills to community members.
  • Educating and raising awareness about the importance and potential of data engineering and machine learning, with focus on data quality and automation. Providing expert advice on best practices, methodologies, and technologies powering data science use cases.
  • Demonstrating the practical application of data engineering and machine learning through blueprints, case studies, pilot projects, or proof of concepts.
  • Utilize state-of-the-art cloud infrastructure (end-to-end data science framework on AWS using Databricks), ensuring the effective application and generating reusable solutions. Staying updated on the latest developments in the field to provide current and relevant advice.
  • Advocating for ethical practices in data engineering and machine learning, emphasizing data privacy, security, and responsible AI. Developing policies and guidelines for e. g. Model Development and AI Governance.

Your core competencies

  • Solid Technical Hands-On: Profound knowledge of data engineering practices and machine learning algorithms, with the ability to apply them to solve real-world problems.
  • Educational Guidance: Experience in teaching, consulting, or mentoring, with the capability to develop and deliver engaging content for both classic machine learning techniques, data processing, and automation.
  • Clean Coding & Documentation: You have excellent coding skills in Python (every other coding language is a plus) and are familiar with popular machine learning libraries. Experience in creating documentation, training material is a must.
  • Goal orientation & Can-Do Attitude: You have a proven track record of delivering successful use cases including complex data flows and business processes. You are energetic, enthusiastic, and passionate about delivering high-quality analytical products in a dynamic and changing environment.
  • Ethical and Collaborative Approach: Commitment to ethical data practices and the ability to collaborate across various groups to foster a culture of innovation in data engineering and machine learning.
  • Creation of Guidelines: Development of policies, and guidelines based on the EU AI Act and other regulatory requirements.
