For our client, an international Bank, we are looking for a Business Consultant Regulatory Strategy Tax FATCA/CRS/QI (KYC/TAX program) on a freelance basis (all genders)

Our Customer face externally induced regulatory changes, e.g. originating from
  • 5th Anti-Money Laundering Directive,
  • Gesetz zur Bekämpfung der Steuerumgehung und zur Änderung weiterer steuerlicher Vorschriften (StUmgBG), and
  • Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (“FATCA”), Common Reporting Standard (“CRS”) and Qualified Intermediary Agreement (“QI”).
Accordingly, the Bank established respective project organisations facilitating the change-the-bank (“CtB”) processes to ensure regulatory adherence and adjust the underlying target-operating model accordingly. We were asked to support among others the project Regulatory Strategy Tax FATCA/CRS/QI.

Tasks:
  • Support with the design and implementation of 2020 Change the Bank activities as defined in customers Clarity systems
  • Support with executing specific Run the Bank activities requiring subject matter expertise and knowledge of the PB’s processes and procedures, including recertification of existing policies and key operating procedures and quality assurance of relevant reporting data, and subject matter questions concerning relevant tax regulations
  • Perform gap analysis with regards existing processes against new or enhanced regulatory requirements
  • Provide recommendations of possibilities to enhance processes and controls
  • Provide recommendations with respect to regulatory requirements as well as good practices
  • By using the Advisory Process advice on the conceptual design of a Target Operating Model (TOM)
  • Propose generic sample management templates and share good practices to assist customer to create the tax management artefacts. If customer does not have such tools already in existence, Sopra Steria will advise customer to develop these by using the Advisory Process
  • Advise customer with coordination support by drafting customer management artefacts (e.g. plans, governance documentation, reporting, activity / is-sue / risk logs) based on the templates and frequency decided by customer, and feedback from and final agreement by customer
  • Advise customer with gathering of data, analysis of data, and preparation of draft findings based on instructions from customer in order to provide ad-vice regarding the listed coordination activities
  • Propose generic sample templates to capture issues
  • Facilitate discussions to identify project issues and advise customer to help prioritize the issues
  • Facilitate discussions to determine the responses to resolve issues and review the closure of actions
  • Propose generic sample templates for stakeholder meetings and steering committees

Skills:
  • Tax FATCA/CRS/QI - 3-5 yrs. experience
  • Fluent English and German
  • AML/KYC – nice to have
