The Technical Services Teamleader ICT (m/f/d) will be having responsibility to support the design of client network and infrastructure design. This will include server integration, project planning, roll out of new services but also support EOS and EOL projects. He will be responsible for managing the technical ICT tasks and managing the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring that all ICT tasks within the agreed scope of works are adhered to
  • Ensuring that the CBRE ICT services are provided as expected
  • Day to Day Responsible for ICT engineers onsite
  • Holding and Completing annual Staff Appraisals for ICT engineers
  • Reviewing, Allocating and Managing the DC engineers on-going training requirements
  • Management / Approver of engineer Holiday requests
  • Responsible for the management of all CBRE DC operational compliance documentation including ensuring that these documents are reviewed on time when required
  • Local management of onsite Health and Safety regarding the CBRE presence on site
  • Assisting with the provision of planning, solutioning and quotations for any extra works / projects with the CBRE AGM and or the customer including server integration, network architecture.
  • Completion of monthly service reports as dictated by the customer requirements
  • On site internal mentoring, training, guidance provision to the DC engineers
  • Help deploy and support data centre Infrastructures including network
  • Responsible for maintaining and reacting to established monitoring, and ticketing systems
  • Support the team isolating and resolving ICT Service issues in all layers and not limited to hardware.
  • Work collaboratively with other in-house data centre engineers and customer if/when requested
  • Assisting with data centre infrastructure growth projects and external teams for the installation of new data centre equipment (If required and agreed by CBRE management)
  • Assist with maintaining data hall security within the data centre environment
  • Complying with Health and Safety within the data centre environment/complex
  • Escorting/supervising third party vendors within data centre
  • Good knowledge of rack & stack of various IT hardware and robust experience in this area with proven evidence of complex IT environments.
  • Raising, Managing & Closing Service Tickets
  • Installation & decommissioning of redundant equipment and cabling
  • Working with copper and fibre networks including cable types & testing
  • Working with customers media and responsible for the support and processing of it
  • Support within DC Operations
  • Creating, maintaining and updating ICT documentation as required
  • Complying with risk management in data centre environment.
  • Completion of asset Management/ICT audit tasks when required
  • Compliance with information security standards (Infosec)
  • Assist with other works that are DC related when required

MY QUALIFICATIONS - WANTED!

  • Sound knowledge of ICT Equipment Installation
  • Proper understanding of general health and safety requirements and able to manage the DC engineers on all aspects of day to day ICT data centre health and safety
  • Create an environment orientated to trust, open communication, creative thinking and cohesive team effort
  • Overview and understanding of SAN, WAN and LAN including physical and virtual interfaces
  • IT Services Experience including robust ITIL understanding
  • Knowledge of install/Move/Decommission processes within DC environment
  • At least 3 years of Data Center or Data Operations Experience
  • Proactive, hands-on approach, experienced, diligent, passionate and a willingness to help
  • Ability to work both independently with little supervision as well as in a team environment
  • Excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal);
  • Self-motivated, approachable, adaptable and customer oriented.
  • Supporting customers in an IT managed service environment
