For our client, a global company that provides a portfolio of IT services, software, and technology with a major project in the financial sector, we are currently looking for a Senior Network Design Architect on a permanent basis.

Background:
This Senior Network Designer/Architect will be responsible for network planning, development, design and implementation for a very high profile client. Analyses client’s business needs to develop strategies and technology solutions. Provides Subject Matter Expert (SME) support to business development and pursuit activities, including creating proposal, scope, level of effort estimation and implementation plans. Leads and participates in project execution and technical delivery.
Tasks:
- Communicating directly with clients (sometimes non-technical clients) to identify current and future needs
- Creating communication plans to meet those client needs
- Collaborate with a team of engineers
- Assesses industry standards for models, and where appropriate, incorporates them into architecture standards
- Participate as Network technical lead on major projects and application roll-out
- Responsible for developing and adhering to all engineering/quality processes and procedures and all documentation/tools
- Work hand-in-hand with project management on technical issues
- Supports continuous improvement and change management efforts
- Validate work of lower level network engineers
- Optimize day-to-day operational stability
- improve the service and deploy new services, processes and technologies
- Understands, advocates, and supports IT strategies
- Mentors others on the network services team
Skills:
- Strong on documentation and processes
- Advanced knowledge of network engineering design principles, guides and standards
- Advanced ability to scope engineering deliverable content
- Advanced industry knowledge and technology trends
- Specialist understanding of one or more of the following products: Checkpoint, Cisco (IOS, NXOS, ACI), F5 (LTM), McAfee Gateway, Tufin Security Management
- Very good presentation and communication skills
- Fluent in written and spoken English
