This is an ideal opportunity for a strong collaborator to join a well-recognised pharma and employ digital innovation to actively boost the discovery and development of new medicines to assure sustainable growth of a globally leading and family-owned pharmaceutical company.

As Outreach Manager you are accountable for finding the right partners for our journey towards data-driven drug development. In addition, you are in front of cutting-edge technologies, experienced in building strong networks with external and internal partners and take advantage of your ability to connect them for pushing digital innovation.

Embedded in the growing Global Computational Biology and Digital Sciences Unit you will have an impact on reinventing R&D, thereby actively contributing to the discovery of breakthrough therapies that ultimately will improve the quality of human life.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• As part of a growing team you will build and grow a network of external partners to support the implementation of high-impact digital initiatives.
• You work closely with the management team to identify areas for strategic external partnerships.
• You will manage the establishment of external partnerships and collaborations as key contact for internal functions
• You establish a network with internal stakeholders to scout for external innovation, e.g. Venture Fund, Business Development & Licensing
• Furthermore, you plan and conduct tailored outreach activities such as Digital Science Days, hackathons etc

Requirements

• PhD in life sciences or computer sciences, alternatively master´s degree in this field with several years of professional experience in an international environment
• Long-term experience in Pharma R&D or biotech
• Multiple years of experience in managing external partnerships and collaborations
• Open and curios
• Ability to connect function-specific needs with opportunities through novel digital technologies
• Excellent communications skills in English as well as a strong intercultural mindset
