Then please keep reading- we are looking for a Biomarker Project Manager/Leader to help us. 
A Biomarker Project Lead is needed and essential in connecting the various research departments and providing valuable data during development decisions.

 
This role will be accountable for driving the biomarker strategy and execution for assigned projects across the development lifecycle. This will include working alongside the key stakeholders in each department (Pre-clinical to registration). The key central responsibility to support decision making (eg proof of mechanism/concept), enable stratified medicine/diagnostic approaches (where appropriate), and overall enhance the probability of successful development and approval of the asset.

The Biomarker Lead will be considered a Subject Matter Expert in biomarker technologies, their development and implementation. The role will therefore require deep understanding and appreciation of the scientific, technical, regulatory, intellectual property and preferably commercial considerations for successful biomarker implementation to drug development programmes.

 
Main Accountabilities
Strategy and leadership
The role holder will lead the clinical science team to delivery appropriate planning and operationalization for biomarker and early clinical strategies as and when required.

Comprehensive overview of the company´s proprietary assay portfolio as well as from third parties and usage of this knowledge for coordinative and operative support of our biomarker strategist and data management expert

Work to support the development and adoption of biomarker led drug development strategies in Project teams to add value to drug projects.
Establishment of clear communication structures as well as guidance of the communication flow between interdisciplinary and international teams
 

Requirements:
Credible, in-depth knowledge and experience of the implementation of biomarkers in drug development with understanding of the clinical application of such markers, their evaluation and analysis and ideally linkage between the biomarker as surrogate marker and the clinical endpoint(s).

Degree in natural sciences in the subject of medicine, human biology, biology, biochemistry or similar.
Ability to present a well reasoned business case, and influence other departmental leaders to support cross functional implementation of new initiatives and projects. 

Professional experience in biomarker management in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry. Good understanding of current biomarker assays and methods.

Working knowledge of project management applications.
Excellent, targeted communication skills and capability of managing multiple competing priorities.
An understanding of regulatory requirements for clinical development is a plus.
