A Global FMCG organisation is seeking a Procurement Operations Lead to lead the shared service centre. This is part of the global transformation project to centralise the procurement team. A greenfield opportunity, this position will lead the start up of the shared service centre and help to support the project to centralise the team. In parallel to this, they are setting up a new Global strategic procurement as well to sit in the global hub. Based in Berlin, Germany it is an exciting time to join the business with the organisation experiencing healthy growth and the opportunity to set up new processes for the transaction centre and to be creative and innovative to support their continued progression as a business.

Already a leader in its niche market for plant breeding, the company trades across 70 different countries, turning over 1.5bn€ last year and a headcount of just over 5,000 people.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and develop a team of procurement operational buyers
• Supervise and manage procurement transactions along source-to-pay to ensure delivery of procurement services
• Analyse existing processes and systems for further improvement
• Implement the source-to-pay processes as part of the greenfield project

Skills and Experience Required

• 8 years’ experience in Procurement Operations
• 5 years team leadership experience
• Fluent English - additional language desired
• Lean Six Sigma
• Great understanding of source-to-pay / purchase-to-pay processes and IT related solutions (SAP MM, SAP SRM, Ariba, Coupa)
• Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manager senior level stakeholders
