Cluster Demand Planner

You will be responsible for ensuring the availability of our products mainly in the German market, based on forecasts and in coordination with the business

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordination of the market forecast: Coordinate the Demand Review meetings with the Sales & Marketing teams in the local market, reviewing recommended sales, budget and inventory goals, new product introduction, promotions, samples and tenders and ensure to get the sign-off for the consensus forecast
- Prepare and analyze all data in order to create sales forecast (historical sales, market trends, seasonality, promotions and inventory levels).
- Challenge forecast that is not aligned with logical trends and make recommendations to the Sales & Marketing team to adjust their forecast based on analytical data
- Manage Product Life cycle forecast (new product introduction, discontinuations)
- Lead the revision, adjustment, validation and release of 24-36 months consensus forecast
- Work in collaboration with different markets and manufacturing sites to optimize safety & target stock levels
- Consolidate market intelligence information through the in-market Demand & Operations Planning (D&OP) process and generating the most accurate sales forecast using demand planning systems
- Reviewing forecast attainment and identifying improvement opportunities
- Reconcile forecast to financial budget and highlighting differences to management
- Participate in cross functional teams and projects as required (product launches, product transfers, packaging/label changes or other regulatory changes)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor degree in engineering, scientific or health related field of study is preferred
- >3 years of relevant experience in demand management, and manufacturing
- >2 years of experience in pharma/animal health industry as a plus
- Knowledge on demand management/forecasting tools, forecasting processes in sales, marketing operations, finance, manufacturing and supply chain issues
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
- Analytical skills with a proven ability to analyze/interpret data
- Experience using SAP APO DP (or any other statistical forecasting tool) as an advantage
- High degree of proficiency with Excel
- Strong knowledge of demand management, statistical methods and analytical techniques.
- Experience in managing product life cycle and inventory levels.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with and influence sales and marketing organizations and other management levels and seek relevant data to manage demand forecasts
- Autonomy (self-managing priorities, reporting & escalating to manager in another country / culture,…)
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize work, goals and tasks in accordance with division and corporate objectives
- Flexibility and adaptability to the demands and requirements of a fast-paced environment with multiple demands and priorities.
- Proficiency in English and German (spoken and written)
