SCCM Administrator
One of my clients based in Ottobrunn is urgently looking for a fluent German speaking SCCM Administrator for a 6-12 month contract.The SCCM Administrator will:
- The SCCM Engineer has a primary task is to provide enterprise-level desktop engineering and design through the design, engineering, configuration, administration, maintenance / support of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
- Analyze and evaluate existing SCCM configurations and strategy
- Determine and implement best practices for the engineering, configuration, administration, and support of SCCM .
- Design and implement business applications/packages into the SCCM application framework .
- Assist desktop engineering with SCCM Windows desktop OS deployment and automated build processes, including performance tuning .
- Provide extensive troubleshooting in the installation and configuration of SCCM; diagnose SCCM desktop deployment issues (defects, errors, inconsistencies in system function, outputs, etc.) and perform root cause analyses.
- Remediate issues through controlled and organized incident management processes .
- Design and implement software packaging and patching strategies for windows desktops .
- Assist in the conversion of existing automated deployment tools and processes into SCCM .
- Produce basic project plans and root cause analysis documents; report progress to management
- Develop partnerships and collaborate with key support, architecture, engineering, and security teams .
- Provide internal team support, guidance, and mentorship with the engineering and support of SCCM.
- Develop future state strategies, roadmaps, and initiatives that are aligned with Consumers Energy’s goals and vision; create an environment that is supportable, secure, and scalable .
- Additionally, this position can require possible on-call/after-hour system patching and emergency support
Skills and Requirements.
- 5+ years of in-depth SCCM and desktop engineering knowledge in design and support of systems that support in large environment.
- Familiarity and understanding of Active Directory, Windows GPO, WINS, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP and commands.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team setting as well as independently with minimal error and guidance .
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of associates in the organization.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills with an ability to understand the long-term ("big picture") .
- Ability to think strategically and implement iteratively .
- Excellent interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation and negotiation
- Ability to initiate new processes and/or enhance existing process .
- Strong leadership skills with an ability to lead cross-functional teams in a collaborative way.
- Scripting knowledge (VBScript or other language) .
- Familiarity with packaging (App-V, Install Shield AdminStudio, Wise, ThinApp)
- Some general knowledge of VDI – VMware View
- Windows Server, Security and Network systems – Windows 2012 and 2016 Server OS, Active Directory, PKI / certificate services .
- Monitoring Applications – Microsoft Service Center Operations Manager (SCOM), Quest Monitoring products, etc
- Knowledge of ITIL best practices and use of issue/problem tracking systems.
