Would you like to gain experience in the field of strategic projects in sales? Or, from a higher-level role, drive the success-critical measures of the sales approach? Then apply as a master’s student (m / f / d) to support sales in Germany and handle sub-projects independently.

As part of a two-year part-time course, you have the opportunity to complete a practice-oriented postgraduate course on the dual principle to become a Master of Science in International Management (M.Sc.) parallel to your work at ABB. In addition, you have the opportunity to acquire a double degree with the option of a foreign MBA. You will be qualified in business administration and prepared for your future role. During this time, you will be actively involved in overarching strategic projects and tasks at ABB and will be able to put your theoretical knowledge directly into practice.

As an alternative to the Steinbeis Master’s degree, you can also complete a part-time master’s degree at another university with relevant departments.

You are organizationally assigned to the Mannheim location and work from home in the sales area. The training takes place at our locations in Ratingen and Ladenburg.

Your responsibilities

  • Support of the German sales department in day-to-day business as well as in the organization, coordination and monitoring of individual sub-areas in order to ensure that specific goals are met
  • Proactive participation in the design and implementation of success-critical measures and initiatives for the systematic further development of the sales approach
  • Responsibility for defined subject areas within the growth strategy in the context of business development
  • Coordination of activities with those responsible for global ABB, the Central Europe region and ABB Germany

Your background

  • Successfully completed studies in electrical engineering or industrial engineering with a focus on energy technology
  • First practical experience in sales, product marketing or product management
  • Fluent communication in German and English, both spoken and written
  • Personally, you are characterized by a high level of initiative, creativity, resilience and fun in dealing with people, as well as organizational skills and analytical skills
  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally
