As we grow our technology services and portfolio, we are looking for a Senior SAP Solution Architect to help build organizational capability to direct, manage and support the new environment. Building out our internal SAP expertise base is a critical component as we transition IT services from Dow.

This Senior SAP Solution Architect role will have responsibility for the management, direction, and integration of SAP modules, functional and/or business areas. Establishing SAP related technical leadership, the Senior SAP Solution Architect will develop an architectural blueprint and product technology roadmap that aligns the company's IT and business goals. Oversee, define and monitor critical path activities and resolve issues or escalate issues to the Project Manager as needed.

The Senior SAP Solution Architect will be responsible for defining, deploying and managing IT solutions using SAP and other applications in the Plan, Make and Design2Deploy end-to-end process. Key process areas include short-term and long-term planning, Production, Quality, Plant Maintenance, Purchasing, Product definition and stewardship and associated interfaces, product labelling, data and reporting.

As Senior SAP Solution Architect, you will also be responsible for mentoring junior architects, whenever necessary, on various SAP application design competencies.

Candidates must have 10+ years of hands on experience with enterprise resource planning system (ERP SAP) with at least 3 full life cycle implementations or complex integration projects in a SAP Solutions Architecture role with experience in configuration.

Key Responsibilities/Duties:

• Design, construct, and implement SAP strategic solutions for the business centred around various technologies including cloud-based solutions.
• Owns accountability for partnering with key stakeholders to create SAP solutions and technology roadmaps that are aligned to architecture principles, leverage common solutions and services, and meet financial targets (cost and benefits).
• Accountable for all aspects of SAP solution development, including adherence to company standards in documentation, change / release management and SDLC processes.
• Accountable for solving complex technical problems and design issues in a timely manner. Supports multiple program and project-level deliverables simultaneously.

Key skills required:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or other related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Solution architecture SAP experience across multiple end-to-end (E2E) business processes including SAP (PP) Production Planning, SAP (PM) Plant Maintenance, SAP (QM) Quality Management and SAP (MM) Materials Management.
• Knowledge of project management techniques; PMP and Six Sigma designation preferred.
• Experience in cross application business process modelling and integration with SAP and non-SAP solutions.

Desirable/Beneficial skills:

• Manages ambiguity well. Has a global outlook and develops local expertise while operating effectively in a geographically dispersed organization.
• Strong enterprise business acumen.
• Demonstrates strong listening, communications, alliance-building, negotiation, conflict management and influencing skills.

This position reports to Director of Enterprise Applications. You will collaborate with business leaders to ensure their needs are met by the IT environment and services and that their future needs are appropriately prioritized and considered in the future IT strategy.

As Senior SAP Solution Architect, you will interact with many positions in the Office of the CIO to ensure the successful design and delivery of SAP solutions on-time and on-budget. You will also interact with Project Leadership (and leadership for other on-going improvement programs and projects) to help drive change acceptance and support which ultimately allows others to do their jobs more effectively and should realize qualitative and quantitative business benefits.

What type of technical skill/knowledge or specific system(s) experience is required to perform this job effectively?
Deep knowledge of SAP ERP platform and functionality; Strong business acumen and domain expertise; Strong program/project management expertise; Knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) best practices and techniques.
