Job Description

Description

SAIC is seeking qualified Intelligence Operations Support for the US Air Force Agency for Modeling and Simulation (AFAMS) program in Kaiserslautern, Germany.

AFAMS is the premier agency responsible for implementation, integration, and development of Modeling and Simulation (M&S) and training and analysis standards that support the US Air Force (USAF), Department of Defense (DoD), and mission partners requiring these capabilities to support the Warfighter in full-spectrum operations. As the lead agent for M&S within the USAF, AFAMS gathers requirements, seeks out potential solutions, and integrates legacy and emerging M&S solutions across the USAF and the DoD. The USAF has an M&S initiative that focuses on providing simulation and synthetic training as the critical capability to augment live training, act as an enabler for critical decision-making, and enhance human performance. In the current resource constrained environment, demand for M&S rises with the continuously evolving need for operational readiness and mission preparedness across the USAF, DoD, and with coalition partners. AFAMS focuses on providing innovative M&S services as the key to meeting this demand.

The role of this position is to support the USAFE-AFAFRICA Warfare Center (UAWC) at Einsiedlerhof AS, Germany. The Security Support will:

Develop scenarios for integration into UAWC-sponsored and supported Tier 1-4 training/exercise events. These functions include, but are not limited to, design, presentation, and briefing.

Generate mission materials related to the scenarios. These include but are not limited to: collection decks, Air Tasking Orders (ATO), Special Instructions (SPINS), Air Coordination Orders (ACO), Orders of Battle (OB), Comprehensive Intelligence Preparation of the Environment (CPOE), Road to War (RTW), and other documents relevant to major joint air, ground, and maritime operations. Develop potential adversary (red/gray) scenario scripting, Orders of Battle (OBs), Integrated Air Defense System (IADS) construction, in accordance with customer/training audience requirements and defined training objectives.

Facilitate and coordinate Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) for planning through after-action report.
Perform White/Blue/Red Force functions during execution of Tier 1-4 exercises and training events with virtual and constructive models. Perform intelligence activities relative to exercises involving joint and coalition participants adeptly and with minimal supervision. Interact with ISR, Targeting, Battle Damage Assessment (BDA), Information Operations (IO), Air Operations Center (AOC), and Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) areas within the tactical and operational environments adeptly and with minimal supervision.

Prepare and lead mission planning, white force/mass briefs and debriefs with the exercise audiences.
Provide intelligence support to live, virtual and constructive (LVC) integration into synthetic and live exercise battle spaces.
Coordinate with customers and intelligence entities to construct and execute training scenarios for distributed exercises.
Provide guidance and expertise in ISR operations.
Provide informed inputs to M&S developers and technical experts
Support exercise academic development and instruction.
Attend and support planning, and other related events world-wide to support US Government requirements.
