MY CHALLENGES – IMPRESSIVE

The main purpose of this role is to manage and control deliveries into the Data Centre warehouse (loading bay) and to ensure equipment is stored safely until deployment takes place. Administer all related documentation. Act as backup for other installation team members when able or required to do so.

In particular this role include the following responsibilities:
  • First point of contact for the global customer enquiries and activities relating to deliveries and collections into the Data Center
  • Ensure loading bay and stores are kept tidy and managed in a professional manner at all times
  • Assist A&IM team in tracking asset movement, policing the movement of equipment with h/w movement proformas
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of all required documentation – timesheets etc
  • Comply with all Safety at Work practices, machine room code of conduct and any other standards communicated
  • Supervision of machine room activities – e.g. escorting large deliveries and ensuring heavy equipment procedures are followed
  • Preparation of hardware for installation, unpacking, removal of waste, transport of kit to required locations
  • Manage "Goods In" Notes task ID
  • Maintain "Goods In/Goods Out" Logs and database for both equipment and materials
  • Delegated authority to accept or refuse deliveries
  • Timely notification to customers of delivery of goods
  • Active involvement in Asset labelling at point of delivery
  • Store and document kit as per agreed procedures
  • Participation in OrderNow asset tracking
  • Any other duties as requested by the HWIP team, DCO Manager or Machine Room Supervisor
  • Notify Security and Pots Room of Daily Expected Delivery Log
  • Audits of equipment

In addition to that your responsibility might also include the further tasks upon request:
  • Installation of power and data cabling + cable removal
  • Repositioning of equipment
  • Maintaining high standard of tidiness within the machine room
  • Assist with all aspects of server builds and installation
  • Act as backup for other team members when required

MY QUALIFICATIONS - WANTED!

  • Completed vocational training desired
  • Diligent and well-structured personality
  • Good communication skills at all levels both within CBRE / DCS, our customer as well as with 3
rd
party contractors
  • Manage personal workload effectively
  • Be able to provide clear and concise written communications
  • Flexible to enable multitasking eg responding to pager
  • Be able to work as a member of a team and on own initiative
  • Good understanding of typical IT tools (MS Office, spreadsheets, etc.)
  • Highly motivated attitude
  • Good language skills in both German and English (written and oral)
