The subsection IT Business Solutions MEAG delivers business value through the management of IT products including execution of change projects for all groupwide investment and asset management functions. The position is responsible for the technical implementation of all change projects in this area as well the generation and maintenance of evergreen product roadmaps. This position will be located in Munich.

Your job

• Implementing technology solutions for Data Provisioning Investment Reporting and Solvency Reporting, 3rd Party Data Sources and oData Services in SAP BW and mapping the business requirements to systems/technical requirements to ensure alignment with the enterprise architectural plan
• Supporting release upgrades and the import of Support Packs
• Specificizing, designing and coding for large and/or complex systems
• Designing of development, testing and implementation of technology solutions, leveraging existing architectural patterns whenever possible, and reporting on delivery commitments to ensure solutions are implemented as expected and to agreed timeframes
• Supporting the strategic direction of technology investments to assist in the development of the enterprise architecture and maximize the return on technology investment
• Scheming of the adherence to appropriate standards (BW technology, coding, performance, monitor capability, audit acceptability, secure environment)
• Providing a balance between functional, service quality and systems management requirements
• Using appropriate tools, including logical models of components and interfaces, to contribute to the development of systems architectures in specific business or functional areas.
• Employing appropriate design standards, methods and tools, consistent with agreed enterprise and solution architectures and ensures they are applied effectively and along standard
• Reviewing systems designs to ensure selection of appropriate technology, efficient use of resources, and integration of multiple systems and technology

Your profile

• University degree, preferably in Computer engineering / IT or similar qualification
• Several years of working experience in software development as a developer and hence in-depth knowledge of the processes of the entire software development and product life cycle especially in SAP environments
• Strong knowledge about BW Modelling, BW technology, clean coding, object-oriented development principles, patterns, UML and agile development practices as well as DevOps principles
• Knowledge about SAP ABAP/ABAP OO, HANA native programming and SAP Fiori
• Deep technical knowledge in SAP systems architecture, service-based architecture, enterprise application architecture, cloud architecture as well as experience managing expectations when balancing alternatives against business and financial constraints.
• Know-how about TDD (test driven design), unit testing and automated testing (frameworks)
• Track record of successful implementations that delivered value to the business, resulting in measurable business outcomes
• Consulting and collaborative working style creating a culture of accountability and sharing
• A high degree of commitment and the willingness and ability to master the various tasks are essential
• Cooperatively working style – able to monitor market trends and to drive creative thinking on future technology capabilities which will help increase the business value of Munich Re
• Strong written and verbal communication in English and willingness to travel
