I am currently working with a world leading sports retail client based in Germany. This will be half remote working, half working on site at the client, for a 6 month project to support their retail partner sites.

How to be successful?

The project will be to implement on-site search optimization initiatives to improve the visibility and findability of products on our partner digital platforms. Success is to be the top search result for ‘non-branded’ key words.

  • Leverage output from diagnostic and identify immediate impact opportunities tooptimize on-site search for products on the platforms of our digital wholesale partners
  • Develop search terms (i.e. names, tags and product description indexation) to maximize “search friendliness” for the target consumer of that digital partner based on web analytics, 3rdparty data, and account algorithm
  • Execute on-site search optimization (non-paid) by consulting Business Units and Key Account teams to successfully rewrite product content
  • Advise Partner Analytics to measure key performance metrics and quantify uplift / commercial impact based on enhancements
  • Apply paid search to maximize results and create an understanding of the best return on investment
  • Provide direct inputs into Director Search Optimization to support creation of future change management programs 

Education & Experience:

  • Strong background in Online Marketing, Digital media, and Communications
  • Relevant experience in the conception and implementations of Paid Search
strategies(SEA/SEO), incl. usage of SEO and web analytics tools such as Google
Analytics, Search Console, Google Tag Manager, Sistrix, Ryte, etc. and current CMS
systems, such as WordPress and Typo3
  • Ideally, experience in e-Commerce On-site Search strategies and existing
knowledge of search algorithms and search advertising platforms commonly used by
leading e-Commerce platforms
  • Understanding of consumer search data pulling, testing and results tracking in e-
Commerce for targeted consumer search journeys
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Fundamentals of HTML
