Product Compliance Manager (m/f/d) Chemicals

What you may expect

• Monitor legal development in the field of Chemicals
• Identify business opportunities (product, service, others) from legal developments and calculate business case together with the responsible Product Manager
• Identify the legal obligations (European, national) for placing product on the market (e.g. according to CLP, REACH, Biocide Regulation, Construction Products Regulation, and others) and ensure compliance to them
• Coordinate external service providers, testing institutes, and consultants for product compliance; cooperate with authorities, internal and external suppliers
• Manage the external creation of safety data sheets, workplace instructions, Art. 45 registrations, and other product compliance related documents
• Create compliance related documents and declarations internally (in alignment with Continuous Improvement and Legal Department)
• Support Product Managers and Product Administration with expert knowledge in this field (e.g. classification and labelling, sales restrictions)
• Support sales subsidiaries regarding requests from customers and/or authorities on product compliance
• Support projects and run or manage own projects

What distinguishes you

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemistry and Business Management, Industrial Engineering and Business Management, or comparable; alternatively: technical education
• Advanced knowledge in product safety (classification and labelling, SDS creation, CLP, etc.)
• Many years of experience in a related expert subject, ideally in an international environment
