Financial Regulatory Reporting Specialist
Position: Financial Regulatory Reporting Specialist
The German branch of an international banking institution is looking for a Financial Regulatory Reporting Specialist to join the team in Frankfurt. Working closely with the senior leadership team, you will be specializing in corporate and retail banking, as well as trade finance and have the possibility for exceptional career development.
As Financial Regulatory Reporting Specialist you will be:
- Responsible for the financial accounting process and preparing the financial statements according to German GAAP
- In charge of reviewing and sign-off of the German GAAP vs. IFRS impact study
- Preparing the annual corporate tax, trade income tax and VAT declarations
- Preparing and reviewing the regulatory reporting to the Bundesbank (ie. COREP, FINREP), reporting to the German GDPF and other regulatory reporting on a regular and ah-hoc basis
- Participating to the external credit rating process
- Preparing and reviewing of the disclosure report (Offenlegungsbericht)
As Financial Regulatory Reporting Specialist the required skills are:
- Bachelor or Master degree in business administration, economics or equivalent
- Experience in regulatory reporting, taxation and management reporting in the banking sector or in a Big Four audit firm
- Good understanding of the German taxation framework (Corporate, trade income, VAT and flat tax)
- Very good understanding and knowledge of the Banking Regulatory Framework (ie. CRR, HGB, IFRS 9, Deposit Compensation Schemes)
- Fluency in English and German
