You are responsible for the 3D CAD modelling of electronic and magnetic components

:

you develop a 3d fem model for the thermal simulation of an electric power converter. * structured evaluation:
besides you evaluate different thermal designs and heat spreading methods by 3d fem simulation in thermal domain. you also validate selected thermal designs by experimental measurements in laboratory environment. * have a practical approach:

the modeling of relation between maximum allowable heat dissipation and housing shape/dimensions for different heat spreading techniques also falls within your area of responsibility. * implement holistically:

last but not least you prepare technical reports and documentation. qualifications * education:

master studies in the field of mechanical, aerospace or electrical engineering with excellent academic performance * character:

team player with good communication skills who is willing to learn and goal-oriented * working practice:
able to work in a multidisciplinary team and to analyze complex technical problems and demonstrate creative thinking which leads to development of innovative concepts. * experience:

experience with fem simulation (ansys mechanical or equivalent) in thermal domain as well as with with pcb design tools (altium designer preferred) and testing of simple electronic circuits is a plus * knowledge:

solid understanding of heat-transfer and thermodynamics and ideally fundamental understanding of electric power converters and electronic components * qualification:

good command of 3d cad software * enthusiasm:

interest in advanced thermal management concepts for electronic packaging * languages:
