Job Description AGCT GmbH is an innovative technology company driven by cutting-edge R&D in molecular assay development. We develop a unique molecular technology and test method for molecular diagnostics and research. cyberPCR is a novel PCR-based method that can significantly contribute to the early detection of cancers using non-invasive specimens. AGCT's test methodology will be applicable in every molecular diagnostic laboratory, providing patients, and clinicians with an earlier and faster decision on specific treatment options. We are looking for a Scientist NGS Assay Development (m/f/d) to join our R&D team with exceptional drive and passion, who will help shaping the development of our innovative assay technology for the oncology market. Scientist NGS Assay Development (m/f/d) in the field of molecular diagnostics (location:

Marburg site, permanent full-time position) - Develop DNA-based oncology assays for NGS-platform (Illumina) - Conduct testing with a focus on assay development and optimization - Workflow development and optimization along with supplementary protocols - Independently plan, execute, analyse and document experimental strategy - Proactive problem analysis, troubleshooting and implementation of solutions - Project planning and reporting according to guidelines - Project work with development partners from the life science and diagnostics industry - Successful completion of a university-level degree in life sciences (preferred disciplines:

molecular diagnostics, molecular biology, human biology, biology, biochemistry or genetics) - a PhD is preferable - Experience with NGS gene-panel analysis and bio-informatic analysis of NGS based mutation detection - Professional experience of 2 to 4 years in a similar role is desirable - Hands-on mentality and proven expertise in optimizing NGS with focus on oncology or human targets - Strong affinity to diagnostic workflows, molecular testing, screening and optimization - Good working knowledge in NGS workflows, analysing and interpreting NGS data - Ability to handle challenges with structured, analytical and solution-oriented thinking - Proven experience in agile project management and reporting is desirable - Fluency in English and a basic knowledge of German is preferable We offer a challenging R&D position in an innovative and cooperative young team as well as a competitive salary.
