The division
Group Finance Data and Operations
unites smart and efficient data sourcing, lean and customer-oriented accounting of non-banking and banking activities as well as data processing for the Finance area. Close cooperation within the division, inside the CFO area but also with relevant stakeholders of RBI will prevent from (data) silos and allow One Finance reporting, thus value creation for RBI and its relevant stakeholders.

Focus: Financial Reconciliation

The department

Group Finance Data

is responsible for collection and processing of data, improvement of processes and data quality. We are taking care for the definition and maintenance of the Group data taxonomy and business glossary considering requirements from BCBS 239 including maintenance of the business data model (BDM) together with Risk. Moreover, we are operating the financial reconciliations for RBI Group.

In this position you are an important link between the business and IT world, to which you bring your personality as well as your business and technical know-how.

We are looking for a (Junior) Finance Business Analyst (f/m/x) who will shape the future of One Finance with us and shares our core values of collaboration, proactivity, learning and responsibility and is eager to grow into this hybrid function between Finance and IT. Together with the team you will work on challenging requirements and deliverables.

Your role at RBI

  • Execute the regular data reconciliation between the consolidated group accounts and our Enterprise Data Warehouse (regulatory requirement for banks based on BCBS 239)
  • Active communication with Networkunits to work together on elimination of deviations
  • Support onboarding of new Networkunits with regards to financial reconciliation
  • Prepare regular reports for RBI's top management (CFOs)
  • Perform regular user acceptance testing
  • Automate processes and come up with innovation proposals
  • Execute big data reporting and analysis demands based on bank internal requirements or upon requests of the regulator
  • Cooperate with IT and Finance colleagues regarding definition and creation of financial reports
  • Manage and represent Group Finance Data in data related projects (e.g., EDWH, GDWH, Data Tribe, etc.)

Your core competencies

  • Degree in business administration/economics, business informatics or similar
  • First Experience in finance, data analysis, management reporting or BI function, preferably in the financial services industries or consulting business
  • Interest in data analysis and financial reporting requirements
  • Knowledge about data models and data warehousing (incl. querying and scripting in SQL)
  • Power BI and Qlik Sense knowhow is a clear plus
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strategically agile; ahead thinking, curious and eager to act in a highly demanding environment
  • Accurate working style, willingness to continuous improvement
