Lead Senior Authorized Person (SAP), required by our client, to be hired on a permanent basis, located in Sassnityz, Germany.
POSITION SCOPE
The SAP will ensure electrical safety from the system in accordance to the German regulations and to the company's electrical safety rules, whilst ensuring that the operational performance of the site assets and the transmission asset is maximized through minimizing outages.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead electrical safety management philosophy, providing sound technical knowledge, promoting a positive safety culture in accordance with German regulations and to the company's electrical safety rules.

Lead and manage the Control Room team in charge of both electrical operations and marine coordination, which is formed by 6 Operational Controllers and 2 Deputy Senior Authorized Persons.

Manage the budgets and contracts associated with the electrical maintenance of the plant, supported by the Deputy Senior Authorized Persons and site management.

Manage the performance of the maintenance of the transmission assets within the offshore wind farm in time and in budget supported by the Deputy Senior Authorized Persons.

Establish and manage solid relations with several stakeholders including the Transmission System Operator.
Provide and maintain a safe system of work in line with the company's Electrical Safety Rules and the requirements of DIN VDE 1000-10 to ensure that Safety from the System is achieved, whenever work is required to be carried out on or adjacent to high or medium voltage systems on the Project.

To operate and maintain the system according to VDE 0105-100 - Operation of electrical systems.
Responsible for the Assessment and Approval of Authorised staff, capable of providing 'Safety from The System' in line with (but not limited to) ArbSchG DGUV Vorschrift 1, DGUV Vorschrift 3, DIN VDE 1000-10 standards.

Develop and follow-up training plans on electrical operations and equipment for all site team.
Lead monthly high voltage safety rules committees, acting as Authorizing Engineer, and attend other company committees, liaising with the rest of the clients organizations ensuring compliance with High Voltage Safety Rules.

Undertake technical operational, duties, providing safety from the system allowing inspection and maintenance works to take place.
Lead the development of all site electrical management procedures ensuring they are established and enforced to ensure personnel safely.
Ensure new/ modified electrical apparatus are fit for purpose as it is energised or re-energised.
To perform on site duties: testing, modification, and maintenance of HV, MV and LV equipment, including array cables, WTG switchgears, OSS switchgears.

Daily coordination, communication and planning of HV/MV/LV operations and maintenance activities;
Prepare switching schedules for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks, installation works, fault location and repair where required.
Supervise adherence to the German regulations and IBROD electrical Safety Rules from the Services Providers/ Contractors: writing, issuing, reviewing and cancelling Safety Documents as part of the work control / permit to work system.

Organize and execute HV switching, isolation, earthing, identification of the point of work and issue of safety documentation duties on HV networks up to 220kV in accordance with German regulations and IBROD High Voltage Safety Rules when required.

Perform site risk assessments and prepare method statements.
Supervise and follow up closely the performance of Service Providers/Contractors for Electrical maintenance equipment: report, analyse and review servicing of the assets.

Produce service improvement analysis reports and service performance reviews.
Key point of contact for Grid Operator: supported by the Operational Controller as first point of contact.
Support the Site Assistant on the management of electrical equipment service and maintenance contractors.
Take ownership of the HSE on site especially electrical safety.
Senior Authorized representative under the IBROD electrical Safety Rules.
Investigate electrical safety incidents or near misses
Keep records on daily activities and performance of subcontractors.
Regularly report on defined KPIs through the Company Standard systems.
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Strong knowledge on German Electrical regulations: DGUV Vorschrift, DGUV Vorschrift 3, DIN VDE 0105-100, DIN VDE 1000-10, …
Ability to work in Germany and to be nominated as Verantwortliche Elektrofachkraft (VEFK).
Senior Authorized Person certificate (evidence of training required) and authorizations to work up to 380kV.
Excellent German and English language skills.
Knowledge on operation and maintenance of electrical systems and substations.
Degree in Electrical Engineering Power Distribution
GWO certificates and valid offshore medical
The National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) certificate or equivalent (HSE qualification).
Mandatory: 10 years of experience Electrical Maintenance.
Previous demonstrable experience as Verantwortliche Elektrofachkraft (VEFK).
Desirable: Experience in Electrical Maintenance in the offshore wind sector.
Desirable People management and Contractors' management experience.
