At Bayer you have the opportunity to be part of a culture where we value the passion of our employees to innovate and give them the power to change Head of Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) General Medicine (m/f/d) YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES The position is ranked as 2 nd line management position, leading the MSL team leads with their respective teams * Provide leadership and strategic direction to the MSL team leads in order to achieve company, business unit and individual performance objectives reporting to Head Medical Affairs General Medicine * Accountable for development of country / regional strategies that will build and maintain interactions with external experts, academic institutions as well as throughout the supported therapeutic medical community * Responsible for developing and supporting the MSL team leads, ensuring attainment of stated goals, and providing continuous reports and activity updates to management and business partners * Oversees external expert engagement at both national and regional levels, as executed by the Medical Science Liaison team as well as guides Medical ScienceLiaison team leads in the integration of strategies and goals across supported therapeutic area * Participates in national strategic Field Medical Affairs planning;

assists in the tacticaldevelopment and implementation of regional and local initiatives in concert with corporate and regional business leadership * Drive and lead Thought Leader Identification / profiling / segmentation as well as oversight and report of the competitive situation (Market Insights) * Optimizes communication and interactions with key customers and accounts by working with key strategic managers within Medical Affairs, Account Management and Sales teams * Supports, as appropriate, on medical and commercial advisory boards and cross-functional teams as well as ensures field compliance of all relevant corporate policies and regulatory guidelines * Ensures proper training on internal processes and guidelines (SOPs) and ensure adherence to compliance guidelines WHO YOU ARE * University degree in natural sciences, pharmacology or medicine (M. D., D. O., Ph. D., Pharm. D.) or equivalent required * Several years of experience in the pharmaceutical environment in the respective therapeutic area, ideally in medical liaison management * Experience in project management and high level of strategic thinking and strong personal leadership skills * Successful interactions and excellent long-term relationships with Thought Leader, medical and pharmacy professions and depth Know-How of concepts of strategic interactions with Thought Leaders * Leadership skills in Medical Affairs projects that go beyond immediate team environment * Expert knowledge of competitive environment in the relevant therapeutic area * Successful mentoring of and collaboration with team members, subordinates, scientists, marketing and other functions Experience in managing cross - functional teams * Ability to work effectively and well in teams and to prioritize work efficiently and to manage and track budgets o Assurance of proper training on internal processes and guidelines (SOPs) * Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken Location:
