For our client, a leading multinational technology company that specializes in Internet-related services and products, we are looking for a Hardware Engineer/Roboticist (f/m/d) in Munich.
Your Role:
We are looking for a hardware engineer, ideally with a background or interest in robotics, to join our client’s team and support the development of software for robotics. You have an opportunity to join a dynamic and fast-growing team, developing innovative, high impact products from scratch that will play a critical role in defining the future and usefulness of robots.
Your tasks:
- designing, building and optimizing robotic automation systems, mechatronic components, and corresponding safety systems used in automation systems (e.g., end-of-arm tooling) and is excited about making robots significantly more capable than they are today.
- Conception, design, integration, and operation of robot work cells and components for robots (e.g., end-of-arm tooling including mechanical design, electrical design, controller programming, and software integration)
- Building up and managing a robotics lab in Munich including the deployment and testing of the developed software
- Support the day-to-day operations of the development team in Munich
- Close interaction with the Program Management Team in defining product requirements and product roadmap
Your skills:
- Degree in mechanical, electrical, mechatronic engineering or comparable 2 years of industry experience in designing, building, and optimizing mechatronic systems
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience with the planning and integration of robot systems
- Experience with mechanical and electrical components and system integration, including software integration
- Experience with the design of dynamic systems, such as robotic manipulators
- PLC-programming skills
- Experience with software deployment tools such as Kubernetes and Docker
- Experience with building and operating robot test setups
- Knowledge about robotics safety systems
- Excellent project management skills
