For our client, based in Bochum, we are currently hiring a Senior Data Protection Advisor (f/m/d)
Senior Data Protection Advisor (f/m/d)

Your Tasks:
- Advise the European business how to comply with their legal and internal policiy responsibilities
- data privacy compliance initiatives across EU businesses
- training to in-scope role holders within the EU countries
- Assist with the completion of yearly BCR Attester entries by Local Privacy Co-ordinators
- Audit the high risk data processing operations and/or systems across the EU
- Ensure business owners across ESE and other EU countries complete and maintain data privacy records.
- Report any material privacy failures
- Coordination of Personal Data Breach Response, Subject Access Request and GDPR non-SAR Rights procedures
- Support country Local Privacy Coordinators
- Closely work with the Managing Counsel, Group Technology & Data to ensure the EU’s regional data protection compliance activities
Your Skills:
- 5 years+ experience in data protection advisory work – in-house experience is preferred
- Deep knowledge in IT Cyber & Digital security
- GDPR good knowledge
- Experience in data protection support to multiple lines within EU
- Good experience in whistleblowing hotlines, internal investigations, big data analytics and anti-bribery / anti-corruption and due diligence
- Great knowledge in data retention policies and procedures
- experience in negotiating data protection contracts (including the EU Commission’s Model Clauses)
- knowledge of existing EU Court of Justice
- experience of maintaining existing Binding Corporate Rules certification
- Fluent German and English spoken and written,
