About the team SAP S/4HANA Handling Unit Management

Handling Unit Management (HUM) reflect packing-based logistics structures in the SAP System. Using this method, you track the movements of entire handling units and the materials they contain rather than tracking each material individually. When you base logistics processes on handling units, goods movements processing is made easier, which in turn optimizes all logistics operations. This simplified processing includes the existing packing function in shipping (LE) and an integration with Cloud WM, EWM. Our task would be to establish the cross functional scope of Handling Unit Management to get successive part of the upcoming S/4HANA Cloud deliveries. Reinventing of functional parts of HUM is essential part of our strategy. To assist in these plans, we are looking for a highly-motivated Developer Associate who has an attitude for translating business scenarios into technical solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.

For the sake of completeness, Delivery Management is also part of my line management responsibility. SAP S/4HANA Logistics Execution Delivery Management controls and organizes both the movement of material within the enterprise and between enterprises including the outbound processing of sending materials to customers and the corresponding inbound processing of receiving materials from vendors. Extending its functional scope LE has an integration with Cloud-WM, EWM to support a variety of business processes along the supply chain with warehouse management functions. All activities connected with the physical transport of goods will be requested to Transportation Management. Simplification and tightening those integrations with Cloud-WM, EWM and TM are topics where we are investing further. All integrations aspects should take HU abilities into account. 

Ideally the candidate should also be interested in being a scrum master for our HU team.
 

The Role

As a Developer Associate and ScrumMaster (f/m/d) for our Handling Unit Management team you will be responsible for Scrum Master related tasks and partly for development related tasks.

 

Scrum Master (f/m/d):

The Scrum Master (f/m/d) facilitates the daily standup and is setting up retrospectives, sprint reviews or sprint planning sessions. He helps the team to learn and improve. He shields the team from interruptions during the sprint and is removing obstacles that affect the team.

Encouraging collaboration between the Scrum team and Product Owner(s) 
Should be involved upfront to align dependencies on other products.
 

Developer (f/m/d):

You will be responsible for the development of new software solutions in the above-mentioned area.
You participate in the design, implementation and internal testing and quality assurance of the respective product.
Bringing in new ideas, and promote new technologies within our team
Participation in design phases of the software development cycle
Building up application knowledge and combining it with technological aspects, to develop solutions that are both, state of the art and fit to the business purpose alike

 
Role Requirements
Bachelor or Master Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Informatics, Business Administration with focus on Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics or related area

Software development skills in all aspects of software development and programming preferably in ABAP & ABAP OO
Knowledge of software design and software architecture
Good understanding of Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery and DevOps principles and tools.
Fluency in spoken and written German and English
Good team player with strong ability to network and with drive for tangible results; willingness to work in virtual and culturally diverse teams
