YOUR TEAM

The Software Development Competence Centers in the Digital Business & Mobility Services solution of CARIAD are looking for a technology driven leadership colleague. We are a fast-growing unit of software engineers who code. We are looking for someone to help us professionalize our Software Development capabilities over all products in our solution and to take our staff into the future.

We create products in-house and always offer possibilities to try out new technologies. What we develop is immediately used by thousands of customers, the teams’ impact is easily visible. The product range we serve reaches from pure backend services to mobile app development. We want to deliver the best product to our customer and are looking for a courageous, self-motivated colleague to join our very international team!

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Lead one of the competence centers for software development consisting of ~30 highly skilled software and systems engineers concentrating on in-house cloud-based software development
• Recruit, coach and develop employees on their individual career paths
• Assure competent staffing of engineering teams across our SAFe-organization with both internal and external resources (if needed)
• Work closely together with internal and external partners to complement internal staff and to develop and grow partnerships
• Implement and support the tech-driven culture inside the solution as well as in CARIAD in general
• Take over rotating responsibilities on major incident management
• Work closely together with peers in other competence centers, in our SAFe-organization and other parts of CARIAD to solve any impediments and to assure we have the best possible setup to operate our current and future solutions

WHO YOU ARE

• University degree in business, computer science, information technology or comparable course
• Experienced senior manager with 5+ years of experience leading larger teams in a software development environment
• Previous experience as responsible leader for an organization in large scale, 24/7 environments
• Hands-on experience and necessary know-how working in relevant roles of the competence center
• Deeply ingrained agile mindset and ability to act as a leader and inspire others
• Strong intercultural skills and experience in managing multiple stakeholders worldwide
