Mechanical Principal Design Engineer
Description and responsibilities:
Having Senior Designer experience, you can recognize future trends of innovations in endoscopy and implement them into development projects. In doing so, you bring in your high creative potential and derive technical solutions using your abstraction skills:- Observing and evaluating the technology market and clinical needs (e.g. with customer surveys, congresses, relevant literature)
- Evaluating different design concepts and developing them together with a highly interdisciplinary team
- Analyzing and evaluating concepts and constructions both theoretically and practically (e.g. in the form of measurements and simulations)
- Designing complex mechanical solutions (e.g. from a single part to a complex assembly)
Your profile:
- Completed degree in precision engineering, medical engineering, mechanics or comparable degree program
- 5+ years professional experience, preferably in medical technology with in-depth knowledge in the use of CAD design software, preferably with SolidWorks
- Knowledge of the relevant Medical Norms is an advantage
- Transfer medical problems into technical solutions
- Passion to experiment with fundamentally new ideas and solutions theoretically and practically. Additionally, having a proven track record of this is seen as an advantage
- Relevant experience in designing and constructing complex plastic components and relevant manufacturing technologies (such as injection molding)
- Very good technical English language skills, German language skills are an advantage
