The Role:

We are looking for a talented Project Budget Controller Lead who will ensure that new vehicle project costs are accurate, understood and approved from the point of project inception to the end of mass production. You will also have project responsibility for Cost Reporting of BOM, Tooling and Supplier Development for the specific platform and its allocated derivatives.

What you will be doing:

  • Responsible for the vehicle project timetable including the setting of key gateways and cost reviews reporting to the senior management.
  • Control and in-depth analysis of project costs including material, tooling and development in order to explain the key movements to the business both during development & mass production stages.
  • Co-ordinating with the FP&A team on budget and forecasting activities to ensure that financial planning is accurate.
  • Constant observation of the global supply market regarding changes that affects our business (primarily economics and materials).
  • Support the Procurement team in developing and delivering the transition strategy for procurement from project to operation – cost movement from database to SAP for PTO3 / SOP (+90).
  • Work closely with the Engineering, Procurement and Production Planning to agree future demand plans and their effect to RFQ and cost model.
  • Providing day to day business partnering support to specific procurement module teams.
  • Support make-versus-buy and cost reduction programme decisions with Project Sourcing, Procurement, Finance and Operations

What you will bring:

  • Solid experience gained at either a Tier 1/2 automotive supplier or automotive OEM. Ideally with expertise in Interiors and Exteriors but not essential.
  • Understanding of Financial / Accounting best practice to support clear interaction with INEOS Finance team.
  • Previous direct knowledge of automotive procurement from
  • Significant automotive supply chain / procurement know-how gained over a long career in automobile manufacturing. (Preferable)
  • Excellent project management skills, with a track record of delivery.
  • Able to demonstrate experiences in building and maintaining cross functional relationships.
  • Demonstrable strategic procurement experience and or NPI (New Product Introduction).
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and have effective time management and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and good capability with Microsoft Office software.
  • Experience with SAP is desirable, training will be available.
