Academic Staff (m / f / d)

in the research project “micro-resonators for point-of-care diagnostics of pathogens” (InfectResonator) to the earliest possible date.
The contract for the position is limited to 30 months. The weekly working hours for a 65-70% position are 25,67-27,65 hours
.
Remuneration will be in accordance with German public sector pay scales and can, dependent on individual skills and assignment of tasks, be up to pay group 13 TV‑L. The position is located at our Villingen-Schwenningen campus. Additional remuneration through extramural project money is possible, subject to approval by funding bodies.

Your tasks will include:

  • Research in the field of Whispering Gallery Mode (WGM) methods and applications in pathogen diagnostics
  • Maintaining contact with cooperation partners
  • Participation in project management and external presentation of the project (publications in journals and conference presentations of project results)
  • Supervision of degree theses and student research projects within the framework of the project

We are looking for:

A completed university degree (master or „Diploma“) in natural sciences (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Bioengineering or related subjects) is expected, as well as scientific motivation and practical laboratory experience, preferably with some experience in R and / or interest in working at the interface of chemistry, engineering and physics.
