Job Description About the opportunity About Finance Group Finance, headed by the Group CFO, is responsible for the financial accounting for Fidelity's global entities as well as providing management information, monitoring financial controls and ensuring compliance with the financial regulations of the local regulators. The Finance function is spread across a number of different locations, including the UK, Sydney and Bermuda. Our vision is to be a trusted, knowledgeable, pro-active and commercial business partner, whilst delivering effective and efficient financial control, decision support and risk management. The Continental Europe Finance teams are based in Luxembourg and Kronberg and are supported by shared services based in other locations. Purpose of your role The purpose of your role is to manage the implementation of a new core finance platform based on Oracle fusion for the German business. The scope includes a financial institute and different distribution entities. You will be reporting into the Finance Associate Director, who is responsible for the accounting of all German entities. The role will not only involve interacting with other departments in our German business but also across Fidelity's other locations and the global implementation team. Your key accountabilities * Represent Germany in the different global implementation workstreams for the new accounting platform * Ensure all local GAAP and tax specifics are considered and matches to the US GAAP accounting * Work with the local controller to learn about the requirements for the new system * Build reports for automated balance sheet and p&l statements in RechKredV and HGB format * Support the German position in the workstream sessions * Ensure a correct data transfer for prior years into the new system * Work on account receivable and account payables modules * Provide training for the business users of new functionalities About you * Minimum of 5 years' accounting experience, preferably in a financial services company * Excellent knowledge of local GAAP, especially for financial institutes, and US GAAP * Experience with accounting platform implementation projects IT affinity and strong Excel skills * Knowledge in Oracle Fusion, Oracle JD Edwards and SAP will be preferred * Fluent spoken and written German and English * Dedicated to accuracy and quality, with attention to detail * Excellent communication skills and a customer focused approach on a day-to-day basis Ability to work independently and in a team environment * Self-motivated, proactive, organised and able to use initiative and prioritise in a multi-task environment About Fidelity International Fidelity International offers investment solutions and services and retirement expertise to more than 2. 4 million customers globally.
