A company that operates an online marketplace is searching for a PHP Developer (m/f/x) in Berlin.
The online portal serves as facilitator for craftsmen and their customers. That way the company is closing a massive gap between the two parties. From smaller repairs to large construction projects, everything is covered and the portfolio covers more than 15 000 available craftsmen, by now. Also, the portal has a review system, which gives users the chance to evaluate or compare their experience with the service they received.
The current IT team is made up of 15 – 20 members. The company itself enjoys about 100 happy employees.
The application process consists of 3 stages. First, you’ll have a telephone interview with the IT lead. Afterwards you receive a coding test, which will be finally discussed in a get together at the office.

Daily tasks:
- Analysing software requirements and creation of user stories
- Development of software components in pair programming
- Figuring out architectural issues and plan new features
- Supporting the technical development of junior colleagues
- Maintenance and improvement of existing systems
- Clear communication towards the team and the Product Owner
- Testing
That’s YOU:
- You have experience in PHP (Symfony) and MySQL
- You have no problems creating REST interfaces
- You already got in touch with Message Queues, Solr, design patterns and Continuous Deployment
- You value clean-code and test-driven development
- You want to offer a great solution to customers / users
- You like an agile work environment
- You optionally gathered knowledge with Puppet, Docker or AWS
