For our client, a global company that provides a portfolio of IT services, software, and technology with a major project in the financial sector, we are currently looking for a Data Center Architect Lead on a permanent basis.

Location: Frankfurt
Contract: Permanent
Background:
This Data Center Architect will be responsible for network planning, development, design and implementation of Data Centers.
Tasks:
- Responsible for securing the Data Center and examine factors such as facility design and architecture.
- The ability to develop a robust server and storage architecture.
- Manage the operations of the data center on a daily basis
- Validate the technical requirements and associated architecture.
- Ensure that the security, space, power and cooling requirements are met
- Ensure the data center capacity planning and also manage disaster recovery plans.
- Liaise with external suppliers to understand how certain solutions can be incorporated
- Work closely the with the client and the team of engineers to identify current and future needs
- Participate as Network technical lead on major projects and application roll-out
- Closely monitor budget issues, especially budgets for space allocation, power, and other factors.
- Oversee not only the servers, storage, and network but also the security, power, and cooling for the data centers
Skills:
- Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related field.
- Considerable expertise in data management, programming, big data developments, systems analysis, and technology architectures.
- Must haves: Cisco (CCNA and/or CCIE certified), F5 and Checkpoint.
- Advanced knowledge of network engineering design principles, guides and standards
- Understanding of McAfee Gateway, Tufin Security Management
- Excellent knowledge about the specific requirements of an entire infrastructure.
- Very good presentation and communication skills
- Fluent in written and spoken English
