This client is a small sized Biotech company located in North-Berlin who are eager to expand their Clinical Research Department by hiring a Chief Medical Officer to lead the internal trial portfolio to the next stage. In the role you will be responsible for building and developing a high performing Medical Affairs and Clinical Development team, while being involved in the operational and strategical planning of the company growth.

Responsibilities of this challenging role include:

• Development of a high performing clinical research and medical affairs team
• Planning, execution and evaluation of clinical Phase I-III studies for an antibody-based drug
• Become a Key Member of the clinical study team and advise internal staff on medical aspects of the study
• Develop and review study documentation in collaboration with the Regulatory Affairs and Quality Management Team
• Collaborate internally and externally with leading experts in R&D, QC, IP and Legal to ensure smooth operations

Qualifications needed:

• A Medical Degree as well as a medical license valid in Germany
• Several years experience working in Clinical Trials and international project management
• Excellent knowledge of working with CROs, ADR reports, Medical Monitoring, Trial Design and Strategy as well as Global Trial set-ups
• Outstanding communication skills in both German and English. German language skills are mandatory for this role
