About the team 

The Business Application Foundation (BAF) unit is part of the Products & Innovation - Technology area. The charter of our organization is to define and build new lines of strategic and innovative products by e.g. delivering simplified ways to both consume and extend SAP functionality. The organization plays an important role for the innovation core of an intelligent enterprise.

 
As part of SAP Cloud Platform, we provide different services which are the basis for customer build applications. Such as an Business Event Bus, Functions as a Service, Job Scheduler and many more. The services are built on cloud native technologies, such as Cloud Foundry, and operated with the state-of-the-art tooling such as Graphana, Kibana or Concourse. We are looking to strengthen our cross-functional and diverse team of experienced cloud developers.

As a Junior Cloud & CI/CD Automation Developer (f/m/d), you will be working in a technically skilled team located in Walldorf and you will take part in all team activities on a daily basis – planning, designing, implementing, testing. Researching and prototyping alternative approaches is also part of the work. Challenging the status quo is very welcome.

 
We emphasize teamwork and a trust-based working model. Collaboration with other teams in an international environment will be a regular part of your work.

Role Requirements

Required skills

Good degree in computer science or a related subject (such as business informatics, informatics, engineering).
Knowledge in at least one scripting and one programming language (e.g. Java, Javascript, Go, Bash, Groovy).
Interest in scripting and automating build, delivery and operation processes in cloud environments.
An open and team-oriented mindset.
Willingness to continuously pick up knowledge in new areas.
Good level in German and in English, both spoken and written.
 

Preferred skills

Already developed and operated enterprise software. 
Hands-on experience in (cloud) infrastructure services and technologies, e.g. Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenStack.
Hands-on experience with Jenkins as CI/CD environment.
Knowledge of multiple programming languages and their related build technologies (e.g. Maven, NPM).
Knowledge about dev operations and using operation tools, such as Kibana, Grafana, Concourse
 

Work Experience

0-3 years of work experience in software implementation and design tasks. Graduates are welcome!
