Description

You are working in an interdisciplinary team in Bonn focused on Clinical Research. Clinical research at the DZNE aims to investigate causes and preclinical biomarkers of neurodegenerative diseases, and to study normal and pathological brain structure and function in neurodegenerative diseases. To this end the team, led by Prof. Thomas Klockgether, Director of Clinical Research of the DZNE, is currently establishing several clinical studies including MR and PET-imaging in a multi-center and single-site setting. The study facility in Bonn will encompass state-of-the art 3T and 7T MRI scanners, an advanced bio-banking program, and large data storage and computational resources. Moreover, Bonn is coordinating and monitoring multi-site PET imaging in Clinical Research studies and is in close cooperation with the Nuclear Medicine Departments of the University Hospitals Bonn and Cologne.

All study participants will undergo extensive clinical and neuropsychological assessments. The majority of the participants will be part of the study-specific imaging with repeated and detailed structural and functional brain imaging (T1, T2, DTI, ASL, BOLD, …), and supplementary PET examinations (FDG, amyloid and tau PET). Some studies will include 7T imaging. We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious researcher who will contribute to the further development of neuroimaging in the framework of the Clinical Research.
