Our customer is actively looking for an experienced PLC Programmer with strong Siemens Step 7/TIA Portal to work on a Permanent basis based in the Bielefeld area, Germany. As a leading, international Material Handling and turnkey integrator who are looking to strengthen their team to support a growing number of projects at a time where other businesses are struggling.

A PLC Programmer, you will be responsible for providing PLC and HMI software development, commissioning and support activities to Material Handling machinery projects. You will work in a cross functional team developing and debugging equipment to achieve uptime and machine cycle times.

Responsibilities of a PLC Programmer include:

• Designing and developing PLC & HMI Software for new control systems.
• Analysing data and presenting findings in written reports.
• Working collaboratively with electrical engineers, process engineers and other professionals.
• Liaising with customers, suppliers and contractors.
• Flexibility to travel circa 25% of the time.
