Education and Experience
The candidate must be working towards an Associate or BS degree in science, material science, engineering or related field
Additional Qualifications
Must have the ability to read, communicate and comprehend written and oral instructions in English

• Must have excellent laboratory skills, i.e. be willing to handle chemicals, equipment, delicate instrumentation, etc. carefully and safely
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and

bring projects to completion in a timely fashion

• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide using units of weight, volume, and distance
• Must be flexible and versatile in order to handle changing laboratory needs and to serve a variety of functions or technologies as the business demands
• Must have competent PC computer skills, e.g. Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint
• Excellent team approach to problem solving
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task with strict deadlines
• Attention to detail
• Must be able to effectively communicate one-on-one and in small group situations
• Must have the ability to learn quickly to utilize software related to specific techniques

• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally handle up to 50 pounds

• Requires use of safety equipment as dictated by work area such as safety glasses and shoes, dust mask, hard hat, respirator, face shield, hearing protection, gloves, aprons, etc
• Work is inside and typical noise level fluctuates from moderate to loud
• Repetitively exposed to moving mechanical parts/fumes or airborne particles
• Occasionally exposed to vibration. May occasionally be exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock
