Technical writer Prague

Stadler, the system provider for customer-specific solutions in railway vehicle construction, has sites in Switzerland and internationally. We are a leading manufacturer of rail vehicles.

Position Description: The Technical writer is a part of the documentation group that operates within the framework of the professional engineering department. The Technical writer is actively involved in the creation of project documentation of railway vehicles for Czech and foreign clients. They often work in German or English.

Technical writer
Your tasks
o Writing and editing texts in German about service and maintenance of railway vehicles
o Communication and cooperation with colleagues from the Czech republic and other countries
o Business trips to foreign branches (approximately three times a year)
o Working with supplier documentation
o Coordinating translations
Your profile
o Detail – oriented person
o Communicative team player that's also capable of working independently
o Willing to learn new things
o Flair for writing, sense of text structure
o Proficiency in English or German (written and spoken), other languages desired
o University degree in technology and understanding of railway vehicles preferred
o Experience with text editors and Content Management Systems (ST4, Arbortext, Wiki) preferred
