Your responsibilities

  • In your role, you will be responsible for the EMEA IT delivery team focusing on Marketing, Sales and Service IT solutions to increase business value. Together with your leadership team and their three teams you are responsible for approximately 20 experienced IT specialists disciplinary and functionally
Your main tasks include:
  • Work collaboratively with the technical lead (e.g., Solution Architect, IT Project Lead), the 'voice of the customer' (e.g., Product Owner, Business Relationship Manager) and the central IT portfolio management to ensure roadmaps strike the right balance between business delivery, technology enablement and operations work in terms of scope, timeline and budget
  • Use a thorough understanding of the user journey and market trends, accountable for continually defining and prioritizing the work delivered by the teams and ensure continued progress against the application and project roadmap
  • Manage the tactical and strategic aspects of the delivery team, ensure financial, risk, legal, security and other compliance requirements are met
  • Maximize the flow of value delivered, systematically measure, remove impediments and ensure a metrics-focused approach to measure objective realization and performance
  • Ensure supplier performance and efficient offshore delivery
  • Share insights that help improve productivity, leverage knowledge of software delivery methods, agile principles and methods, project management approaches and industry best practices
  • Lead, motivate, develop and appraise team members so that their individual and collective performance is of the required standard and meets the current and future needs of the business

Your qualification

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a computer or business field (or equivalent and related experience preferred)
  • Long-standing experience in IT application and solution delivery and in a leadership role
  • Proven track record in Salesforce technology mandatory
  • Certification in agile methodologies, Salesforce and / or SAP is desirable
  • In-depth knowledge of Marketing, Sales and Service processes, key performance indicators, best-in-class practices, business and technology trends
  • Work experience in the IT environment with a broad understanding of a wide variety of applications and technical capabilities, and how those varied solutions can support the organization’s strategic goals
  • Experience in project / product / platform management
  • Broad understanding of IT topics (e.g., cloud products and platforms, micro-service architectures, automation and API integration)
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with others, providing challenge where required – working with Product Team members, other stakeholders and 3rd parties
  • Ability to supervise management of key delivery / service providers and act as the point of issue escalation
  • Excellent communication skills and command of English – both written and spoken with demonstrated ability to communicate analysis and status clearly and appropriate dependent on the respective recipient (e.g., Low / Middle / Senior-Management, non-technical stakeholders)
  • Additional language skills are a plus, particularly German
